This week we are (safely with social distance) working in Northern Virginia installing a classic Damask in a traditional dining room. Damask is considered to be the first known wallpaper. It was found in the Master’s Lodge in Christ’s College Cambridge dated around 1509. The Damask design evolved through its imitation of tapestries. In this dining room, the dark blue damask makes an impression as soon as you step in the front door.
