This week I was absorbed into the world of William Morris wallpapers. Created in 1876, his Snakeshead design is an enduring favorite among Morris’ wallpapers. It certainly transformed this bathroom. For the family room, I installed Morris’s Pimpernel design. Morris himself decorated his dining room with his Pimpernel paper at his home, Kelmscott House in 1876.
For lovers of the Arts & Craft movement, Morris’ beloved designs can be found not only on walls but in a store full of items at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
